Mehdi Idrissi Qaitouni grew up surrounded by the details that make Morocco: the geometry of zellige tiles, the arches of medinas, the overflowing colours of the souks, the scents of cedar and spices. It's not an inspiration. It's an identity.

MarockArt is her answer to this lack.

This deep, vibrant, age-old culture rarely found its place in contemporary art. It was documented, photographed, folklorized. Never truly reinterpreted.
